5/5/13: Cars Land in Disney California Adventure

We love going to Disney World and go every year with the kids.  This year we decided to go to California specifically so we could go to the new Cars Land in Disney California Adventure and it did not disappoint. I want to show you some highlights of Cars Land and how it really feels like you are in Radiator Springs.
One tip I want to share is that a Cast Member told me that when the park opens it is best to go to Paradise Pier and then go to Cars Land later in the day.  This tip worked for us as Paradise Pier was empty and we could ride Toy Story Mania and then went to Cars Land later in the day when it slowed down a bit.
Of course you have to go see Lightning McQueen!  He can be found at the Cozy Cone.
Mater also switches off with Lightning at the Cozy Cone.
Plus you even get to see Stanley!
Also you can see the Piston Cup!  We found these gems at Flo's Cafe.
We got to see Red.  Watch the schedule for when he makes appearances as he isn't there all day.
They do such a wonderful job of recreating every detail from the movie.  This is the area where the flagship ride Radiator Springs Racers is.  Make sure to get in line right as the park opens to get a Fast Pass for this ride.  The wait time average we saw was 2 hours.  The Fast Pass machines is right as you enter the park and not at the ride.  Don't be worried though John got in line and it only took him about 10 minutes to get through the line.
This ride is amazing.  It was better than I even expected it to be.  Here are the ride vehicles you get on to as you cruise through Radiator Springs seeing all your favorite characters from Cars.
As you come around the corner you see the waterfall and the music matches with the movie as Lightning and Sally see the waterfall.
Beautiful views!
You get to see Sheriff along the way.
The Fabulous Hudson Hornet.
Red.
And two of my favorites, Guido and Luigi.  You either go in to Luigi's Casa de La Tires and get new tires or go in to Ramone's and get a paint job.
Of course you see the two main characters Lightning and Mater.
Here you can see the racers racing along.
Here is some video of the ride that I took while we were on it.
The road is amazing.  The Cozy Cone is there with Cones that sell snacks.  We bought a cute Cone cup.
Flo's Cafe which we ate dinner at.  The food was really good and reasonable with a beautiful view of Radiator Springs Racers.
The kids in front of Flo's.
The kids with one of the runaway tractors.
This is the tractor ride that whips you around.  Lot of fun.
Lauren on the ride all smiles.
Here is Lauren dancing with DJ during his dance party.  He comes out during scheduled times and has a dance party with guests.
Then we went to Luigi's to ride his Flying Tires.  This is a super fun ride.
These tires lift off the ground and you lean to different ways to get them to move.  Super fun ride.
Posing with the Luigi's sign.
Lizzy's little shop that sells souvenirs.
Route 66 sign.
Sarge's Surplus.
You really feel like you are walking in to Radiator Springs.
Fillmore's has snacks and drinks.
The kids posing at Fillmore's.
At night it is truly amazing when the neon comes on.  We were there on Route 66 when everything was being lit up.
The kids posing.
A little darker.
Flo's.
So beautiful!
Ramone's House of Body Art.
Luigi's looks great with neon.
So beautiful!
The kids posing for me.

What an amazing time at Disney's California Adventure.  More coverage of our trip to Disneyland and California Adventure coming soon.
